It is the return of the UFC to Vancouver. We had Tom Wright on the “Weigh In” Radio show on TSN Radio 1290 to talk with us about Canada and the role we play in MMA. Its exciting to think that Canada is a leader in the sport. Thats the reason weve got Jones vs Gustafsson in Toronto. Vancouver will be the battle ground for a title fight, and for a few guys trying to keep their jobs in the UFC. That means fans should be treated to some solid action in the cage. Outside the cage, this article has me @fitcityjordan going toe to toe with @WebSodaGirl Gabby McAlpine. Wed love for you to chime in on social media. #TeamJC or #TeamGabzilla. Let us know and let @TSN_Sports know you love MMA. Demetrious Johnson (19-2-1) vs Ali Bagautinov (13-2-0) JC: Demetrious Johnson is just really good at MMA. He is all around with his ability to wrestle and strike. Hes the champ right now, and its because he is a talent. Watch him out strike, out point, and out game plan Bagautinov. Johnson has earned stoppages in his last two fights, and in my opinion those two athletes were more of a standout challenge than Bagautinov. The challenger is still dangerous, but I think Johnson is on another level. Gabzilla: Demetrious Johnson will win. I like him, and hes been looking really good his whole career. So its a simple choice. Johnson stays champ. Rory MacDonald (16-2-0) vs Tyron Woodley (13-2-0) JC: Im pretty sure this one is going to be a barn burner. Remember the old Rory MacDonald? The one who got all the hype, the one who was supposed to challenge the likes of GSP for talent? Well, if he doesnt show up, Woodley will run him over. Anything less than the best MacDonald we have ever seen cant handle Tyron Woodleys athleticism. Honestly, I dont think even a top notch MacDonald can. The Canadian is coming off four fights having gone to decision; Woodley has stopped his last two fights. I see Woodley pushing the pace and ending this one in the third. Gabzilla: Rory is always hungry, too hungry sometimes but I dont think he will be able to handle the raw power of Woodley. Woodley will ultimately be the winner here. Ryan Bader (16-4-0) vs Rafael Cavalcante (12-4-0) JC: Nothing says great fight like a highly skilled pair of strikers, with enough ground game to keep things interesting. As always, if Cavalcante can come in clean, I think he wins this one by being the higher skilled athlete. There is room on this card for a fight of the night, and I think this will be it. Im looking forward to these two athletes fighting for their jobs, or at least making their way up the rankings in the top 10. I personally think Cavalcante has the skill to make a push for top five, and it will start here with a KO of Bader. Gabzilla: Bader will win this one. I just love his intensity and I think he will win by strikes. His last fight was amazing and I think he wants to keep going with that streak Brendan Schaub (10-3-0) vs Andrei Arlovski (21-10-0) JC: I was at the match when Arlovski fought Fedor. The whole arena went silent watching Arlovski use his technical striking to control the best of the best. That is until he dropped his hands and jumped chin first at the best power puncher in the world. That pretty much sums up Arlovski. Amazing skill, coupled with the amazing ability to make a massive mistake that costs himself the fight. He hasnt looked sharp yet in his fights, but he hasnt looked bad either. All that negative and youd think Id say Schaub is going to get this. I dont think that will be the case. Arlovski will control the stand up early, Schaub will go for the take down. Once this is on the ground, I think the Russian Sambo specialist will surprise Schaub. Arlovski will get a submission to end the night. Gabzilla: Schaub should take this one. I think he will win by submission; he is out to prove himself as an elite grappler since his performance at Metamoris. Metamoris: Schaub vs Cyborg was a bad showing for Brendan, but since then Schuab has been out to prove the haters wrong. Air Max Scontate Uomo . Still, its a start. At quarterback, all agree that Andy Dalton has been a wonderful surprise, but to truly progress he has to play his best in the playoffs. The two losses in the wildcard rounds keep the evaluation on Dalton open -- just like it did for Peyton Manning many years ago and Matt Ryan until last year. Air Max 95 Ingrosso . The Extreme Heat Policy was enacted at Melbourne Park just before 2 p.m. Thursday, suspending all matches on outer courts until the early evening and requiring the closure of the retractable roofs at Rod Laver and Hisense arenas before play could continue on the show courts.LIVERPOOL, England -- Fulham and Cardiff were relegated from the Premier League on Saturday after Sunderlands surprise 1-0 win at Manchester United proved a reality check for the deposed champions interim manager Ryan Giggs. Fulham lost 4-1 at Stoke and Cardiff was defeated 3-0 at Newcastle, leaving both teams unable to climb out of the bottom three with one match apiece remaining. "I have to apologize for not managing the situation. The club asked me to come -- I tried," said Fulham manager Felix Magath, who was hired in February in an attempt to keep the club in the top division for a 14th straight season. "The thing is you can never say any player would like to see relegation, but they didnt fight enough, especially today." Cardiff goes down after spending just one year in the Premier League. Sebastian Larssons 30th-minute winner at Old Trafford means resurgent Sunderland have picked up seven points from recent away matches at Manchester City, Chelsea and United to move three points clear of third-bottom Norwich with two matches left. After opening with a 4-0 win over Norwich last weekend, Giggs saw United turn in a performance reminiscent of David Moyes woeful 10-month tenure that was ended last month. "I feel flat," said Giggs. "The players were flat annd I dont know why .dddddddddddd We were putting five- or 10-yard passes astray and if you do that in the Premier League you get punished. Weve had a problem at home all season -- its not been good enough." Already out of contention to qualify for the Champions League, United is also struggling to make the Europa League as it is six points behind sixth-placed Tottenham, which lost 2-0 at West Ham. Spurs went down to 10 men in the 25th minute when Younes Kaboul was given a straight red card for a professional foul, before an own goal by Harry Kane and Stewart Downings free kick secured a victory that preserved West Hams Premier League status for another season. Aston Villa is almost certain of staying up, too, after beating Hull 3-1 thanks to Ashley Westwoods goal after 58 seconds and a pair of headers from Andreas Weimann just before halftime. Villa is six points clear of Norwich, which likely needs at least four points to survive but ends the season with games against Chelsea on Sunday and Arsenal next weekend. Hull, a point behind Villa, is also unlikely to be hauled in by Norwich but its three-game winless run bodes ill for the FA Cup final against Arsenal on May 17. Southampton beat Swansea 1-0 away thanks to Rickie Lamberts injury-time goal in Saturdays other match. ' ' '
