CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- Trey Burke scored 10 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter and the Utah Jazz snapped the Charlotte Bobcats three-game winning streak with an 88-85 victory Saturday night. Burke hit a 3-pointer with 1:38 left to put his team up by three and added a pair of free throws with 10 seconds remaining. Gordon Hayward had 12 points and 10 rebounds for the Jazz, who had lost three of their past four games. Derrick Favors added 14 points. Kemba Walker scored 20 points and Al Jefferson had 19 for the Bobcats, who were playing their fourth game in five nights. The victory would have gotten the Bobcats (13-15) back to .500 on the season. At halftime, Bobcats owner Michael Jordan unveiled the teams new primary logo for when the team changes names to the Charlotte Hornets after this season. The Bobcats trailed 81-72 with 6:42 left in the fourth quarter and appeared ready to make a run. After Gerald Henderson hit a pair of free throws, Jefferson started to come alive, cutting the lead to four with a power move inside, drawing an and-one on Favours. On the next possession, Jefferson had a one-handed put-back dunk to bring the teal and purple clad fans to their feet and close the gap to 81-79. Jefferson then tied the game at 83 with three minutes left on a dunk off a no-look pass from Walker. But Burke hit a 3-pointer to put the Jazz back in front. The Jazz had a chance to extend the lead but Alec Burks threw an alley-oop pass over the head of Haywood and out of bounds on a 3-on-1 fast break with 1:38 remaining. That seemed to trigger a flurry of turnovers on both ends of the court. With 27 seconds left, Walker beat Burke to the hole on the drive but missed the layup off the glass. Jefferson had two easy chances in front of the rim, but couldnt get the ball over the basket on either try. The Jazz got the ball and Burke was fouled. The rookie knocked down both free throws with 10 seconds left to push the lead back to three. Walker and Henderson each had 3-point opportunities on Charlottes final possession but couldnt connect. The Bobcats started the week with a win at home Tuesday night against Sacramento and then overcame deficits of 16 points and 20 points on the road to beat Toronto and Detroit. Ellis have avoided arbitration, agreeing to a one-year contract.Bernard Tomic and Nick Kyrgios could miss out on representing Australia at the Olympic Games in Rio if their behaviour on and off the tennis court does not improve. Both players have been put on notice by Australian chef de mission Kitty Chiller after Tomic drew heavy criticism following his exit from the Madrid Open when, on match point against Fabio Fognini, he held the racquet by the strings and did not offer a return to the Italians serve.Asked about the incident by the Gold Coast Bulletin, the world No 22 responded: I dont care about that match point - would you care if you were 23 and worth over $10m? Tomic effectively gave up match point against Fabio Fognini by attempting to return the ball with his rackets handle After the Australian Olympic Committees AGM, Chiller said: I think it was appalling behaviour. It goes against every value that all the Olympians live by, it goes against everything that weve been trying to build in this team.I would not want to see any of our Olympic team members behave in that way.Chiller said both Tomic and Kyrgios, who has a history of verbally abusing opponents, umpires and fans, were just two of the potential Rio Games athletes who were being monitored for their behaviour. Every athlete is under the microscope now, she added. Theres a few athletes that are on wwatch and those two names are among them.ddddddddddddTomic has been accused of tanking, or failing to try his best, in the past including in a loss to Andy Roddick at the 2012 US Open. Chef de Mission of the Australian Olympic Team for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games Kitty Chiller has warned Tomic and Kyrgios His 28-minute loss to Jarkko Nieminen in Miami in 2014 remains the quickest ever on the ATP Tour, while he was also involved in a spat with Davis Cup team-mate Kyrgios in March.Tennis Australia has until late June to nominate its team for Rio, with world No 21 Kyrgios and Tomic the countrys highest-ranked players and best chance for a medal. Tomic shows his emotion against Fabio Fognini But Chiller was keen to point out that Tennis Australia can only nominate players of good standing within their sport, while the AOC has the final say.Its their responsibility to determine whether its appropriate to nominate them, she said. If any athlete from any sport is nominated, we look at everything ... including behaviour, including the disrepute clause. Australias Nick Kyrgios holds his shirt in his mouth during his mens singles match against Czech Republics Tomas Berdych We have the ability to take that into consideration whether we proceed to select the nomination or not.Based on the last 48 hours, all I can comment on is that is not behaviour that I would want any team member in a team that Im responsible for to exhibit.
